We wanted to let you all know that there are a number of proposed bills being introduced to the Legislature that may concern all of you.
Senate Bill 1399 is proposing to place a Barber apprentice program through the State Department of Economic Security
House Bill 2405 is suggesting to repeal (take away) the Barber Board in the State of Arizona.
House Bill 2476 is proposing a reduction of requirements for licensing in our state with an introduction to incorporate an apprentice program in addition to the school programs.. PLEASE ASAP go to the website AZLEG.GOV
Look up these bills and discuss them with your friends and neighbors in our profession..

The Barber Board and our Executive Board are not allowed to take a stance or speak on any bills being introduced or heard during legislation, BUT.. Barbers, Shop and School Owners are shareholders and any of you are allowed to be heard on any of the bills your concerned about. So....Keep a sharp eye and follow bills that are presented ......and speak up!!
